Mini Project 3: Birthday gift, part 1

I've got a set of 3 glasses that I will be engraving as a birthday gift.

I've just completed one and this is how it looks:

A simple border pattern with the initials of the person inside.

The instructions of how this design was done will be up soon. Stay tuned!

Hello there, interesting blog you have going here, albeit a very lonely one. I found it by searching my new blog search tool in my Google bar. You are obviosly very keen but have a great deal to learn. Consider joining the Guild of Glass Engravers and realise that there are other lovers of engraved glass out there and you can learn so much faster. Have a look at my website www.lesleypyke.com get yourself some books on glass engraving too which will get you totally fired up on the subject.
Once you know more about the basics you will fly!
Good luck.

Keep up the great work Mark !
You are inspiring many out here who read and enjoy your efforts and terrific results ! The simplicity in the tools and methods in which you go at this art makes me willing to give it a try.

I really hope Lesley didn't offend you as it may be that Lesley is the one who needs to learn.
